who we are

At Kura we take our responsibilities to the environment and our local community very seriously. In fact, when it comes to raising money for the charities we support, you could say that our kind hearted people are very much in a league of their own.

Over the last few years our fabulous employees have helped to raise over £52,000 for some amazing causes such as Cancer Research UK and also the Glasgow’s Children’s Hospital Charity. We have jumped out of planes, organised company-wide barbecues, ran countless raffles and even walked 26 milesfrom Glasgow City to Loch Lomond as part of the annual Kilt Walk.

Following a company-wide vote our employees chose the Mental Health Awareness as our main UK charity for 2018/19. This is a charity that is admired by many and one that we are working hard to support through a whole host of fun activities during the course of the year.

Supporting each of our3 locations, we have also determined a local charity for our Glasgow, Forres and Liverpool sites:

Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and Beatson Cancer Charity

The Ladybird Development Group

North West Cancer Research

Kura Environmental Philosophy

At Kura we have long recognised the importance of having a forward thinking environmental policy and are committed to minimising the impact of our activities to help maintain a healthy environment for current and future generations.
By clearly setting out our long-term environmental goals we aim to increase awareness within our employees and external partners; and also to encourage their involvement in our activities to build a more sustainable environment.

Everyone at Kura is made aware of our Environmental philosophy and goals through their induction training and our environmental policy statement is displayed in every Kura site.

Kura Gender Pay Gap Report 2018

As part of the Equality Act 2010 the government introduced the requirement for companies with 250 or more employees to provide and publish annual gender pay gap reporting. Here you can find Kura’s gender pay report 2018, which assess the level of equality for males and females in our organisation.
