Kura – 2015 Innovation Award Winners

We were absolutely delighted to win the Innovation Award for Transforming Communication at the 2015 Professional Planning Forum Awards Gala Dinner earlier this summer. We picked up the award for the creation of our in-house, employee desktop and mobile App.

The 2015 Innovation awards were organised and judged by key members of the Professional Planning Forum Community and these sought-after awards, celebrate and benchmark excellence in the industry.

Our Engage App has not only transformed communication across the business but also provided employees with access to important information such as holiday entitlement, shift patterns, performance metrics and key business messages, whether at work, home or on the move. With almost 10,000 unique logins a month and a third of all activity outside standard working hours, people are engaged; it’s become instrumental in delivering a positive change in culture.

Steve Woosey, Chief Executive of The Forum said “This year’s entries were again of a brilliant quality with a great breadth of topics. The level of impact demonstrated by specialist support teams in these organisation’s is astounding. They have made change happen; confident skilled professionals really do make innovation a reality.”

Our Director of Technology, John Goodram said “We’re delighted to have won the Innovation in Transforming Communication award. What we can do with this app is limitless, in terms of fully empowering our people to be truly connected to their personal performance and the wider business. The app changes how we communicate within the business and enables our people to quickly view information from a single source on the device of their choosing.”

“Our entire company ethos is around our people and making them the very best they can be. My brief to the team was to create a highly innovative and informative solution that would connect people to our business and significantly raise the bar in how organisations can communicate and engage. The App has met this brief and more, enabling our people to access core personalised information using their own devices at a time of their choosing. Using the latest responsive technology, we believe the App is totally unique in the contact centre community and one that helps position Kura as an organisation that uses innovative proprietary technology to connect our people and our clients”.
