Kura Named One of the Top 50 Inspiring Workplaces 2024

Kura is excited to announce that we’ve come 26 out of 50 in Inspiring Workplace Group’s rankings.

Championing our people is at the heart of what we do, so we are delighted that we’ve been named one of IW’s top inspiring workplaces this year. We are proud to celebrate our people in any way we can, and winning this title only goes to show how our people perform. Inspiring Workplace Group recognises PeopleFirst organisations, so coming in the Top 50 showcases our commitment to our people.

Announced on 14th May 2024, we placed among the top companies that put their employees first. By meeting criteria that look at leadership, inclusion, and wellbeing, among other things, we’ve demonstrated how our workplaces have developed to improve the environment for our staff.

Julie McIntosh, our Chief Culture Officer says: “It is a privilege to come in the top 50 of this award. We rank with the likes of other innovative and people-first companies such as Aldi, SurveyMonkey, and the NHS. Our people are at the heart of what we do and something we take great pride in, so being able to announce our big win is very special.”

Criteria we had to pass to win our position in the Top 50 include:

  • Culture and Purpose
  • Leadership
  • Wellbeing
  • Inclusion
  • Employee Voice
  • Employee Experience.

At Kura, we believe people are our power, so we are extremely proud to win an award as important as this. Recognising the wonderful work our management and employees contribute to our inspiring and supportive environment, this award highlights the strength the right people can bring to a working environment. We believe everyone has the potential to grow and develop, that is why we are unrivalled at developing people and dedicate 150,000 hours of our time towards training our staff.  This is why 77% of our people love their jobs.

Being part of this award is a huge win for us because it shows that Kura and other companies are making real, positive changes toward creating inclusive, employee-friendly workplaces. Being recognised as one of the top 50 companies in the UK and Ireland across all six criteria means we’re definitely on the right path for our team.

The Inspiring Workplace Group’s award is the world’s top non-survey-based award for recognising PeopleFirst organisations. A panel of judges reviews our entry and checks the proof of our investment in our people based on those criteria. This ensures that everyone on the list isn’t just saying they’re investing in their people but also proving it. One way we excelled over other businesses competing for the Top 50 is through our commitment to fair pay. We are a Foundation living wage employer and pride ourselves on ensuring that all our staff get paid a fair day’s pay for their hard work – making sure that our employee experience isn’t dampened by financial stress.

We’re super proud of our amazing team and the culture we’ve built at Kura, and we’re excited to keep growing and developing our people in the future.
