Alison Thewliss MP for Glasgow Central Visits Turn2us

Friday was an exciting day for the team at Turn2us when Alison Thewliss, MP for Glasgow Central visited the helpline centre. Kura has supported Turn2us since April 2015; they’re a national charity set up to help people in financial hardship gain access to welfare benefits, charitable grants and support services.

The great work the team at Turn2us conduct, is truly inspirational, and makes a significant difference to people’s lives daily.

Alison was elected as MP in May 2015, and was keen to visit the Turn2us helpline centre to spend time with the advisers and get an understanding of the calls they handle on a day to day basis. During Alison’s visit, she listened to some of the calls our advisers held, and got a better understanding of the critical service they support.
